As we near the end of term three and the worst of the winter weather is nearly over it is important to remember how important it is to continue to develop your swimming and water safety skills.
This term the swim school has transitioned to the Swim and Survive Swimming Program. This program and its curriculum is an initiative of Royal Lifesaving that seeks to increase swimming and water safety skills of Australian children in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity. You may have noticed the levels, skills and certificates on the notice board in the pool hall. Please stop and have a look as it is an exiting program that is being offered to our students.
Also this week we are emailing out the links to the parents portal with the students most recent swimming assessments by their teachers. This is for all students in the Courage and Active programs. These assessments will also indicate if your children are ready to advance to the next level and if not graduating what skills that they need to work on. If you have not received an email from Swim desk, please let Mandy know so it can be followed up as there have been a couple of glitches in the transition process.
A reminder that as part of our 44 week program there will be lessons in the first week of the Victorian school holidays, (the week of the 24th of September).
