Great news! Our gym and stadium at Wodonga Sports & Leisure Centre has been given the tick of approval to reopen.
The further easing of restrictions in Victoria announced on Sunday (14 June 2020) means that in partnership with Wodonga Council we will be excitedly reopening our doors to customers from 6.00am on 22 June 2020, in addition to seeing the welcome return of our aqua and group fitness classes.
Following the success of our pools reopening earlier this month, we will be continuing with a number of temporary changes to support your safe return including:
Gym measures:
- 60-minute pre-booked gym sessions
- A capacity limit of 20 people per session
- Increased spacing of equipment to support social distancing
Aqua and group fitness measures:
- A capacity limit of 10 people per class
- A modified timetable in line with our capacity limits
- Bookings are essential
Stadium measures:
- 60-minute pre-booked court sessions
- A capacity limit of 20 people per session
- Available for casual shooting and training only (Competitions scheduled to resume in July)
- Stadium users must bring their own equipment
Pool measures:
- Continuation of 60-minute pre-booked pool sessions
- A capacity limit of 20 people per pool
- Increased number of pool sessions now available
Bookings are now open, with access to all sessions and classes available 10 days in advance for current members, and 7 days in advance for all other customers.
Membership payments:
As we continue to operate in a reduced capacity, all membership payments will remain on suspension. While we understand this may cause some short-term financial inconvenience to our members, a temporary pay-as-you-go system is the most practical option we can employ to manage the current restrictions. This will continue to be reviewed as restrictions are eased further.
Programs, services and amenities update:
In line with the easing of restrictions, we will also be reopening our change rooms and showers, however encourage customers to limit use of these areas where possible by arriving in appropriate attire. Our spa and sauna will continue to remain closed, with lockers, fitness assessments and program shows also remaining temporarily unavailable.
Additional safety measures:
The health and safety of our community, customers and staff remains a priority, with safety measures introduced to support your safe return, including:As we continue to bring our valued programs and services back online, our commitment to delivering a quality experience to our customers remains a focus. In line with this commitment, we’re continually updating our COVID-19 Response webpage to provide access to the latest information on our operations, including handy checklists to support customers in preparing for their next visit.
We’d once again like to extend our thanks to the community for their continued support throughout our closure. It’s been wonderful seeing so many smiling faces following the reopening of our pools earlier this month and we can’t wait to see many more as we welcome you back to our gym, stadium and group fitness classes very soon. Until then, please stay safe.
