Albury Wodonga Aquatic Facilities has thrown its support behind the Federal Government’s COVIDSafe app and is encouraging all members of the community to download it now to help in the fight against Covid-19.
With over four million downloads across the Country already, the app has been designed to help speed up the process for contacting people potentially exposed to the virus, in turn helping to support and protect the community.
Albury Wodonga Leisure Manager, Troy Mytton said “Our community has done a great job so far in following social distancing guidelines and supporting one another throughout the challenging restrictions we are experiencing.”
“The COVIDSafe app is an important tool in helping to track cases of the virus throughout our community should they occur and prevent further community transmission.”
The Department of Health has said on their website that “Having confidence in the ability to find and contain any outbreaks quickly will mean governments can ease restrictions while still keeping Australians safe.”
With positive signs already being seen across the country to suggest the spread of the virus is slowing, staff at Albury Wodonga Aquatics Facility have been preparing for the reopening of the centre when permitted, with every measure to protect the safety of customers being looked at.
