As an accredited White Ribbon organisation, Albury Wodonga Aquatic Facilities are committed to raising awareness on the prevention of family violence. This year, Wodonga Council are supporting workplaces to recognize gender inequality and family violence through the Balance for Better initiative. This is something we fully support, and so have put our leadership team through this training so they are able to recognise and respond appropriately to family violence.

The training has involved staff developing an action plan that focuses on key objectives and strategies to help us respond appropriately to family violence and demonstrate our commitment to the prevention of violence.

We all have a role to play in contributing to gender equality within our workplace and the actions we take in the workplace have flow-on effects in the broader community. Our leaders recognise this and are committed to fostering a culture of gender equality within our workplace.
